In the general population (A), risk prediction models identify individuals at elevated risk for pancreatic cancer (B). The at-risk population is enriched for people with early-stage pancreatic cancer using circulating markers (C) to identify those for targeted imaging to visualize the pancreatic tumor (D). Detection of the tumor is followed by tissue diagnosis and earlier therapeutic intervention with a greater likelihood for cure (E).
