Setting the Scene Information and advice in care and support is vital – recognised by legislation – Care Act 2014 Local Authority has a statutory duty to all – eligible or not – to provide information and advice relating to care and support for adults LA’s should ‘understand, co-ordinate and make use of’ the resources available in the community.

Who can use it? Hampshire Residents – Self service, search for local services; meet health & wellbeing aspirations using information & advice online HCC Adult Services Practitioners – support to deliver strengths based approach HCC Contact Centre – advise using authoritative sources; channel shift to online Partners – signpost to information & advice and service directory e.g. GPs, Police, HFRS, Hospitals, CCGs, Libraries, community and voluntary sector

What it is not… A list of endorsed, vetted, accredited or recommended services Disclaimer is shown on all pages advising users of this Providers are asked to sign up to a code of conduct, but we are not able to enforce this It is recommended that users exercise due diligence when contacting services
