International S&T policy Bilateral Relationship Mexico – United Kingdom UK is the 6th economy worlwide, Mexico is the 14th. UK is the 6th commercial partner of Mexico, among the EU countries. UK is the second destination preferred by Mexican students abroad, after the United States of America and over Spain. CONACYT has 24 collaboration agreements with UK universities that are ranked top worlwide. 1,321 Grantees studying in the UK.

It is part of the UK’s official development assistance. It is a financial instrument which aim is to develop research and innovation that promote the economic development and welfare of developing countries.
