3. 3 Plans for Shibboleth Deployment We plan to move our prototype Shibboleth environment to production in the near term and migrate applications to this environment in a phased approach

5. 5 Medium term R&D uses of Shibboleth (this year) Continue Shib 2.0 development activities Shibboleth-enable Azyxxi, the key Project Sentinel client/server application, using OASIS and Liberty standards Establish a new Internet2 demonstration site for Blackboard running Shibboleth using resources from: Sun (new server), Blackboard (donated license), and the Sun Center of Excellence in Scholarly Information Architecture at Georgetown (coding expertise) to: Rewrite existing code base Allow Federated Access to the R&D site Provide Guest Access to the R&D site Undertake true inter-institutional R&D project
