These tests are very difficult and require diligent study and preparation
How to prepare? Go to for links, tips, and resources. The single most important piece is the Assessment Blueprint for your content area which lays out what the test may have. You may want to work with your major advisors for assistance with unfamiliar areas. Other than Elementary Education, other majors do not necessarily prepare you for the CORE licensing exams. The Educator Preparation program strongly recommends you prepare and take your content area tests EARLY for several reasons!! Job fairs for teaching positions begin as early as February! It is very valuable to be able to say that you have passed your licensing exams. If you have difficulties, you have time to take retests and still get your license immediately following graduation. While you are still on campus, you have more resources available to help. ( i.e. The Gladish Center tutors, course instructors, and advisors)
