Regulation Like Internet governance: Best of two traditions
There is an expressed need for regulation Principles: Do not exaggerate regulation, focus on important issues! Regulation must not be a barrier to grassroot activity Regulation is about finding a balance between conflicting interests e.g. Privacy vs. Freedom of Information Regulation is also an important instrument for acheiving trust in e-democracy Like Internet governance: Best of two traditions CoE should continue work in this area
