4 Motivation Do you know how much we weigh on the Moon? To find out, we need to multiply our weight on Earth by approximately 0.17 so we would know our weight on the Moon.

5 Presentation Louis, an astronaut, will travel to the moon to do some explorations on its surface. He weighs 63 kg here on Earth. What would be his weight when he lands on the moon?

63 kg x o.17 = N Number Sentence: To multiply decimals: Line up the numbers on the right - do not align the decimal points. Starting on the right, multiply each digit in the top number by each digit in the bottom number, just as with whole numbers. Add the products.
