Begin With Me Focus Area 2 Date: 2.4 – I Have Feelings and Emotions Big Ideas: I need to feel emotionally safe in my classroom. I experience many different feelings and emotions. I can express my feelings and emotions in different ways. I can become aware of other people’s feelings. A child’s world begins with self and family and gradually extends to the community in which he or she lives. This unit focuses on self. As children explore, they become aware of their unique characteristics. Not only will they learn more about themselves, but about others around them.
