6 Structure of each paragraph
Context of the game Technique Impact on performance Sentence starters: In a recent match against…….. My technique was a strength/weakness because……. This meant that……

7 Example In a recent match against Whetstone we were 2-1 down with 3 minutes to go. He opposition had just taken a corner and we had cleared the ball, I used my speed to get to the ball first. I had the ball just inside my own half and saw that our striker was making a run between the two opposition centre backs and I decided to play a lofted pass to him. My technique was a strength here because I made contact with the bottom of the ball meaning that I was able to get height on my pass and it travelled over the top of the defenders and our striker could run onto the pass. I also used my arms to help me balance while making the pass, by having them in line with my shoulders I was more stable when making the pass. I also made sure that my non-kicking foot was next to the ball to help provide more balance. As I made the pass I was looking at the ball to ensure that I made the correct contact but then looked up as soon as I hit the ball to ensure that the ball went in the right direction. This meant that our striker was able to run through and score a goal which bought the game to 2-2 and meant we had to go into injury time. Our team got a lot of confidence from this goal and the other team struggled to recover. In jury time we won 4-2 which may not have happened if I had not completed this pass.
