Curriculum for Excellence
‘…..bring the 3-5 and 5-14 curriculum guidelines together to ensure a smooth transition in what children have learned and also in how they learn. This will mean extending the approaches which are used in pre-school into the early years of primary, emphasising the importance of opportunities for children to learn through purposeful, well-planned play.’ Building The Curriculum 2 CfE – media – what it is/looks like- chn more engaged and active in their learning – seeing relevance- less being talked at. E- what child will actually do O – what they will be able to do More information about Curriculum for Excellence can be found at

Please value. As I play and learn I enjoy exploring interesting materials for writing and different ways of recording my experiences, feelings, ideas and information. LIT 0-21b

School values – from nursery through to P7, children are taught about the school values and the expected behaviours. Positive behaviour systems in classes are linked to the values and these are visible in each classroom. At monthly achievement assemblies- class ambassadors and the ambassador class are identified. When we talk to our children about behaviour – both positive and negative we link it to school values. I make decisions and take responsibility in my everyday experiences and play, showing consideration for others. SOC 0-17a
