Please have your agenda placed on the corner of your desk Why does international trade require a system for exchanging currencies between nations? Answer: countries/businesses need to be able to convert money from one country into the currency of another (to do this, you multiply the amount of money you have by the exchange rate) Today’s Learning Target: Calculate exchange rates between countries. Compare and contrast trade barriers: tariff, quotas, embargoes, and standard.

Answer: Market – businesses own the means of production Mixed – businesses own the means of production but government sets the minimum standards Command – government own the means of production Today’s Learning Target: Compare and contrast trade barriers: tariff, quotas, embargoes, and standard.
