Finding Periodicals in the Library

Use SHU library links to access our journal subscriptions
The cost of these subscriptions is included in your tuition. Our subscription isn’t validated if you go directly to a journal’s public site (for example, from a Google link). Outside our subscription link, you will be asked to pay for each article you wish to access. DON’T PAY TWICE! Use the library link. Ask a reference librarian for help to find your journal and print or download articles. Use ILLiad interlibrary loan to retrieve journal articles not in our collections.

Two ways to find specific journals from the library home page

From Journals by Title link, enter info in search box

See links to both online subscriptions and print holdings (may cover different dates)

In Library Catalog Search, select “Journal Title” from the drop-down menu, then enter title in search box and click SEARCH

Catalog record links to e-journal in databases (watch dates of coverage).

If more than one catalog record for journal, check all

In databases, search journal by author, title or browse year, issue.
