This deck is a marketing tool to interest investors. It’s not an exhaustive business presentation.
Telling a story through the eyes of one of your customers – from their problem to finding success using your product – is more memorable and relatable than just describing your company’s features on each slide.
What you verbally present should compliment, but not repeat the onscreen text (i.e. don’t read the slides aloud).
Font size should be 28pts or larger – easy-to-read & forces succinct phrasing.
Use images to show rather than text to tell (i.e. show product images and usage; tightly-edited charts).
Slide titles are content. Viewer should be able to only read each slide’s title and know the basic story of your business.

Describe the market or user story problem.

4. Solution
State the solution to the market or user problem.

5. Product
Describe your product and how it is used and solves the problem.

6. Team
Highlight key team members. This slide can also go later in presentation.

7. Why Now
What market or user dynamics are making now the perfect time for your product or business?

8. Market
Describe the market opportunity. Focus on your product’s market and user, not the industry macro-trends.
Go more in-depth on who your customer is and be specific with marketing tactics to acquire customers.

9. Competition
Highlight the competition and points of differentiation.

10. Business Model
Describe your revenue model.

11. Financials
Highlight key points from a 2-3 year financial pro forma, as well as the relevant key metrics and goals.

12. Fundraising
Amount being raised, terms, use of proceeds, milestones, and goals.

13. Thank You
Compelling restatement of who you are and why this is a great investment opportunity.

14. OPTIONAL - APPENDIX
Be prepared and have a few in-depth slides providing more detail on key business or product topics.
