2. Doing Science:
The goal of science is to understand the world around us. We OBSERVE to gather information
To INFER is to explain something based on what you already know. (it HAS happened)
To PREDICT is to forecast what WILL happen.
To CLASSIFY is to group according to common features.
To MODEL is to make a representation
of something real.

3. Kinds of Observations: Qualitative: can’t be expressed using numbers Quantitative: number or amount of something

7. The Metric System: The standard system used by all scientists.
It is a decimal system: based on multiples of 10.

Weight: Newton
Temperature: Celsius

1 Meter = 1000 Millimeters (mm)
