3. Important Vocabulary
COLONY: a country or area under the full or partial political control of another country, typically a distant one, and occupied by settlers from that country.
TRUSTEE(S): People who hold responsibility on behalf of others.
CHARTER: A legal document that grants special rights and privileges
REGULATIONS: Government orders
HUMANITARIAN: a person who seeks to promote human welfare; a philanthropist.
