Kurt Lambeck (Wollaston Medal) for his diverse contributions in geophysics, geodesy and geology, especially interactions between the solid Earth and surface processes; the Earth’s gravity field, tidal and rotational effects upon the planet, the evolution of the Earth-Moon orbital system, lithospheric and crustal deformation processes, sea-level change and the history of Earth’s ice-sheets during glacial cycles, and the impact of sea-level changes on civilizations.
