Judicial Restraint vs. Judicial Activism
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Restraint: Read word for word. Cops can’t come in your home Activism: Read between the lines. A right to privacy can be interpreted to mean, more like privacy between you and your doctor, you and your spouse etc.

Judicial Restraint vs. Judicial Activism
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Restraint: People have a right to guns. Activism: Militas have a right to guns; therefore no longer applicable.
