2. Basic considerations
In measure 10 of the action plan the task force “TT Quality” defined the need for a quick exchange of information in PCS based on the experience with COBRA (i.e. Excel table)
Goal: Save time for planners, facilitate path coordination and ensure the quick exchange of basic information
Questions to be answered:
Can PCS achieve this goal and improve the process?
What about paths not requested in PCS?
Can we avoid redundant work (PCS and COBRA)?
Task: Find an IT solution for quick exchange of information on borders with a good overview per border point in/from PCS
Precondition: Single Border Point/Empty Envelope Concept in PCS

3. Proposal PCS needs to fulfill the following terms:
Possibility to enter data in the GUI quickly
Required data needs to be reduced to a minimum
Information only on borders, origin and destination
Times and calendar days
Main train parameters (train length, train weight, maximum speed)
Entered data should be saved in the dossiers
Data should be displayed to be easy to compare
The scope of the proposal encompasses only the main information:
It does not provide the solution for changing a complete path
The result should be a good overview of possible conflicts for IMs and RFCs/C-OSS
This function should not block the process (it is not realistic to achieve 100% harmonization)

4. Example: Two IMs, one request, different border times: Before processing
Example: Two IMs („A“ and „B“) received a request for Monday until Sunday
IM „A“ has construciton works on weekends and must provide different timetables
The IMs therefore provide the following subsidiary timetables in path elaboration:

5. Possible solution in PCS

IMs have to be aware that there is a conflict in the dossier
PCS should provide the required overview
PCS user should be able to work directly in the view
Note: If IMs need to change the complete train the dossier needs to be opened and edited
