1 Vehicle Specifications and Equipment General Specification HSE (GS-GR-HSE-404)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This General Specification defines the minimum technical requirements applicable to light vehicles, light commercial vehicles, heavy goods transport vehicles, and heavy collective transport vehicles.

2 Heavy Goods Tanpsort Vehicles Heavy Collective Transport Vehicles
Light Vehicles (≤ 3,5T) Heavy Goods Tanpsort Vehicles (> 3,5 T) Heavy Collective Transport Vehicles (9 seats or more) NCAP 5* for light vehicles and pick-ups (1). All of the seats must be fitted with an approved 3- point seat belt and a head restraint. ABS. The front seats must be equipped with front and side airbags. Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Tires must be adapted to the climate of cold weather countries (winter tires, snow tires, tire studs). Vehicles classified as « executive cars » are not impacted by this requirement. (1) If NCAP 5* vehicles are not or have limited availability, they must have the highest NCAP rating available on the market. ABS on tractors/trucks and trailers. Cyclist protection bars. Wide-angle wing mirrors, front mirror and blind spot mirrors. Rear underrun protection device. Two-line air braking system. The superstructure of the cabin must comply with Regulation 29 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, or Austrialian Design Rules 59. For high driving risk countries: Tractor/truck age ≤10 years; Semi-trailer/trailer age ≤ 15 years. For moderate driving risk countries: Tractor/truck age ≤ 15 years; Semi-trailer/trailer age ≤ 20 years. For transport of dangerous goods: compliance with European requirements (ADR), American (DOT) or Australian requirements: (protection of hot spots, electric wiring, for tanks, three-point isolation in series: bottom check-valve, value and cap, etc.). 3-point seat belt for the driver, seat-belts approved for passengers, head restraints on all the seats. The superstructure of the cabin must comply with Regulation 66 of the United Nations Economic Commission, or the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard or Austrialian Design Rules 59. For high driving risk countries maximum age of the vehicle ≤10 years. For moderate driving risk countries maxium age of vehcile ≤ 15 years.

3 PRINCIPLES OF NCAP CRASH TESTS
Reproduction of accident conditions and measurement of impacts to the vehicle structure and resulting damages to passengers on a vehicle series Efficiency of the energy absorption areas (passenger compartment, door, seat, hood, etc.). Efficiency of standard or optional equipment designed to reduce the number or severity of accidents. 2 to 4 different criteria taken into account by organizations:
