16 On December 30, 2016, the Tech Council of Maryland and the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council merged to create the Maryland Tech Council (MTC). Largest technology trade association in the state of Maryland with over 600 members. Vision Statement: The Maryland Technology Council’s vision is to position Maryland as a top-three innovation economy for technology and life sciences as well as becoming the next “Silicon Valley” for these two industries.

25 Industry Advisory Boards
Drive the alignment of strategies and investments to respond to current workforce and labor market demand. Employ Milwaukee has seven Industry Advisory Boards covering local high-demand industries: healthcare, financial services, construction, manufacturing, hospitality/retail, transportation/distribution/logistics, and IT. The boards meet regularly to discuss current skill needs, market disruptions, educational requirements, curriculum development, and articulation needs. The boards provide a vehicle for sector analysis, demand assessments, and identifying/designing solutions.
