Assess status of charting and hydrographic knowledge Monitor user requirements – propose new applications Coordinate subsequent actions

Objectives of the seminar IHO Data Centre for Digital Bathymetry (DCDB) - Present the status of hydrographic collaboration and knowledge in Antarctica to raise the awareness of the ATCM delegations on its fundamental importance. - Assess the impact of this situation on the overarching ATCM goals in view of Antarctic sciences, safety at sea, global climate change modelling, etc.). Source: - Identify the existing assets, programmes, policy drivers and governance mechanisms to improve the situation. Source: - Provide key objectives and strategic advice so that HCA can work on a set of pragmatic actions and an implementation plan to be reported periodically to ATCM.
