When graphing inequalities…
SOLVE FOR Y FIRST! (with y on the left) Once you have the inequality in Slope-Intercept Form, Graph the “line” using the slope and y-intercept. The line is a SOLID border if the inequality includes “=“ The line is a DOTTED border if the inequality is strictly < or > SHADING (for all but vertical lines) Go to the y-intercept. If the inequality is >, shade above the line If the inequality is <, shade below the line If you are ever unsure, pick a point, plug it in and test it
