Alternative hypothesis 1C to reflect potential importance of ocean biogenic production:
“The small effective radii measured from space over the SEP are primarily a result of anthropogenic rather than ocean biogenic sources; entrainment of polluted air from the lower free-troposphere is an important source of cloud condensation nuclei.”
