Figure 1 Pie chart demonstrating the cause of 1-year mortality for all kidney allograft recipients (adult and pediatric) between 2001 and 2012 based upon registered death certificate details submitted to Office for National Statistics. Infection and cardiovascular death were the two most common causes of death at 30.9 and 15.9%, respectively, with all other causes <10% each. There was no significant difference in the cause of death between area socioeconomic deprivation quintiles (P=0.081).
