wARM UP
In your notebook answer the following question in 3-5 complete sentences.
How do individuals make contributions that have a lasting impact on the world in which we live?

2. Learning Target: We will identify the leadership qualities of elected and appointed leaders of Texas, past and present.
Language Objective: We will write a summary about one Texas leader’s qualities and why they were appointed to office.
Success Criteria: I will participate in a Texas Leaders gallery walk and collect information on other leaders in Texas

Write down some names of people who are currently considered famous?

4. Assignment
You will be individually assigned a Texas leader to research.
Remember to place emphasis on significant contributions to Texas made by each person.
Once information has been collected you will move into groups with people that have the same leader to compile information onto your handouts.
Once all groups have agreed on the information you will participate in a walk about review to gather information on other Texas leaders.
