9. Zaid/Summer Campaign 2019
1. Summer Moong is cultivated in majar part of bihar. Particularly Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Samatipur, Madhubani, Sitamadhi, Sheohar, West &East Champaran, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Saharsa, Madhepura, Supoul Districts.
2. Summer maize is Cultivated in Area of Begusari, Khagaria, Saharsa, Purnea, Samastipur etc.

3. Summer (Boro) Rice is Cultivated in the area of Purnea, Katihar, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Araria districts etc
(a). Area should be enhanced to take more crops & more production.
(b). Increased in area of summer Moong reduces the requirement of fertilizer and ultimate improves the soil fertility & productivity.

11. Continue
(c). Cultivation of summer maize will a boon for the farmers as maize is exported and ultimately increase the income of farmers.
(d). Some flooded parts of Bihar are not taking the rabi crops like in the districts of Darbhanga (Kuseswarasthan, Biraul, Ghanshyampur blocks). Boro rice are used in the food security of that region.
