2. The Origins of Ambrosia
Gods ate food just as mortals would, but the food of the gods came from beyond the Wandering Rocks (these rocks divided the world from the violent sea). Ambrosia would be accompanied by nectar, which was the provided drink for the Olympians.
Ambrosial is the adjective of ambrosia, indicating anything fit for the gods or of divine providence.

3. Ambrosia Today
Ambrosia now refers to an American dessert consisting of fruit, whipped cream, marshmallows, and coconut.
It is usually made with fresh oranges, cherries, bananas, strawberries, grapes, and pecans.
It can also refer to something that is very pleasing in either taste or smell.
