The operative procedures in two-resectoscope myomectomy. (a), A 7-mm resectoscope (R) is used to cut the capsule of the myoma (M) next to the muscular layer and to shave the myoma, producing an irregular surface that enables the grasper to hold the myoma. (b), The myoma is dissected from the muscular layer by using the tip of resectoscope. (c), The Lin myoma grasper (G) is used to pull the myoma further into the intrauterine cavity. (d), Extracting and rotating the myoma with the Lin myoma grasper results in complete separation of myoma from the muscular layer. If the myoma is large and cannot be removed by using the grasper, a 9-mm resectoscope is used to shave off some myomatous tissue and achieve a smooth passage.
