2 RULES FOR DIVIDING INTEGERS
The quotient of two integers with the SAME SIGN is positive. The quotient of two integers with DIFFERENT SIGNS is negative. The division of any integer by ZERO is undefined.

3 EXAMPLES FOR THE RULES…
Same Sign 12 ÷ 3 = 4 -12 ÷ -3 = 4 Different Signs 12 ÷ (-3) = -4 -12 ÷ 3 = -4 12 ÷ 0 = undefined -12 ÷ 0 = undefined Zero

4 Remember… Divide numbers like normal
An even amount of negative signs will give you a positive answer An odd amount of negative signs will give you a negative answer

5 EXAMPLES… -32 ÷ 8 -4 -48 ÷ (-6) 8 -56 ÷ (-4) 14
