1 BWD reporting for 2010 season: (Item 4b)

2 Purpose further clarification of attributes in the Data Dictionary: WISE - Bathing Water Quality Reporting under Directive 2006/7/EC: improvement of some attribute definitions (and values of codelists) in order to clarify issues and avoid misunderstanding how to report significant management measures (to facilitate collection of information for national reports)

3 Attr. “BathingWaterCategory” and “SpecGeoCon”
If you find needed or interesting, provide subtypes of lake: natural lakes, reservoirs, ponds … (supply annex) If you choose so, describe constraints in separate document (as annex) Inventory of bathing waters table

Status calculation by GDEM is proposed! Attr. “Class” and “Changes” Describe what kind of changes they are (attr. ManMeas or …). Frequency criteria ( days…) Updated: closed, but existing (BWTYPE), re-opened; Seasonal information on bathing waters table

6 Different ways of reporting of significant management measures
Information to public: Weekly classification reports and monitoring data are posted on the DfEH website and sampling results are posted at some of the sites. Participation on TV & Radio programmes dealing with issues re bathing water quality. All official bathing areas are clearly identified by appropriate signs indicating the monitoring locations. Causes of Pollution: Routine site inspections to identify and assess possible pollution are carried out on a routine basis. Action: In the case of short-term pollution, information signs are fixed at the effected sites and a press release is issued through the Department of Information and posted on the DfEH website for the general public information. 1) The same information is provided for each BW. Here web page links to profiles can be given or links to other documents

7 2) DE: Different information for individual BWs…ETCW appreciates, but, summaries for national BW report are welcomed.
