The Report Transport should take a Human Rights Based Approach and the Human Rights Taskforce should consider the role of transport as an enabler of Human Rights; We should examine the ways of addressing the transport challenges faced by people in low income in remote rural areas and explore a minimum transport standard; Review, improve and involve users in decision making and accountability of transport services; and Explore and pilot a range of ways of making travel more affordable including concessionary travel schemes.
