Organelle - differentiated structure within a cell that performs a specific function

7. Mitochondria - an organelle which takes in nutrients, breaks them down and creates energy Also known as the powerhouse of the cell.

8. Cell wall - gives structure to plant cells
Cell membrane - controls what goes into and out of the cell

9. Chloroplast - site of photosynthesis in plant cells

10. Vacuole - storage area for cells; water storage in plants

11. Multicellular – made of many cells

12. Unicellular – made of one cell

13. Organism – any living thing

14. Reproduction – to make a copy of something
