Isolationism -The belief that America should stay
Out of world/European events. -Americans were bitter that we Got sucked into World War One And then “betrayed” at Versailles -The GOP promised that something Like World War One would not happen Again.

Lassiez-Faire Economics
French for “leave alone.” The government should Be small and leave business Alone to make money. Low taxes and few regulations (rules) for business.

Economic “Boom!” -The 1920s was one of the Biggest economic growth
Periods in American history. -America was rich, taxes were low, Unemployment was almost zero -New consumer products made Even normal people feel “rich.” Cars, radios, washing machines, Refrigerators.

-Buy Now, Pay Later -You guys know how this works, Think of credit cards or layaway -Consumers spent too much On things they could not afford

Confidence among Americans. The generation that Lived through World War 1 just wanted to Have fun and enjoy life.
