MSCT-640 IMAGING FEATURES OF CARDIAC TUMORS IN 44 PATIENTS
MEDIC MSCT-640 IMAGING FEATURES OF CARDIAC TUMORS IN 44 PATIENTS BS CK II. NGUYỄN XUÂN TRÌNH Department of Cardiology - MEDIC Medical Center
2
MEDIC Introduction Primary cardiac tumors are exceedingly rare, occurring in about % of autopsies. For primary cardiac tumors, about 75% are benign with myxoma accounting for at least half of reported cases and 25% are malignant. Of the malignant tumors, about 75% are sarcoma. David Kassop et al. Cardiac Masses on Cardiac CT: A Review. Curr Cardiovasc Imaging Rep (2014) 7:9281
3
MEDIC Objective Define : Characteristic imaging features of commonly encountered and selected cardiac tumors Role of cardiac CT among noninvasive imaging options.
4
MEDIC Materials and Methods A review of primary cardiac tumors of cardiac CTA referred to the Medic Medical Center between 2013 and All cardiac tumor patients were performed before and after the intravenous administration of contrast material. Imaging characteristics of cardiac tumors were confirmed by operated on for cardiac tumors and histopathological features
5
MEDIC Results There’re 44(0.0024%) cardiac tumor patients of cardiac CTA patients 24 female and 20 male, mean age years.
6
MEDIC Results Distribution of Cardiac tumors on the Basis of cardiac CTA and Surgery

21
MEDIC Conclusion CT findings of cardiac myxomas are rarely specific, but pedunculated attachment with PPV 100%. CT findings of cardiac sarcomas were broad based attachment, multi-lobular contour, Irregular or ill-defined margin, low attenuation, moderate to intense enhancement and heterogeneous, Intra-/extracardiac infiltration, pericardial and pleural effusion, metastasis Cardiac CT is an alternative imaging modality to assess tumors
