7 P.E. Remember… The office will no longer phone home if children forget their P.E. kits. PE kits remain in school, sent home half termly to ‘freshen up’ PLEASE NAME ALL ITEMS

8 Tapestry Tapestry is an online interactive Learning Diary
Observations are recorded on the system using IPADS Observations are uploaded onto Tapestry and assessed by the class teacher according to developmental matters, highlighting the curriculum area, the age band the child is working within and given a level (emerging, expected, secure) Observations are made daily and updated weekly on Tapestry

9 Homework Weekly reading Optional homework challenges published on the school website half termly (beginning after half term) Homework celebrated in class

10 Reception Homework Please complete a minimum of one task per half term, but of course you may complete as many of the tasks as you like. You can present your work in any way you wish. We look forward to seeing some of your amazing creations. Have fun!

12 Getting a chance to speak to us…
After school is best. Messages can be given to any adults who are on duty in the morning. Notes can be passed to the class teacher at beginning or end of day.

17 Photo Permission DEADLINE… FRIDAY 14th SEPTEMBER As a result of new GDPR procedures you now have to ‘opt in’ Forms will be available at the end of the meeting for parents to complete. Please be aware that we participate in the Ipswich Star First Schools supplement

18 Photo Permission DEADLINE… FRIDAY 14th SEPTEMBER Conditions of use:
This form is valid for the period of time your child attends this school. Images of your child will not be used after this time. Please write to the school if you wish to withdraw consent at any time. The images we take will be of activities that show the school and children in a positive light. Embarrassing or distressing images will not be used. The images will not be associated with negative or sensitive issues. We may use group or class photographs or footage with very general labels e.g. ‘science lesson’. We will only use images of pupils who are suitably dressed. We will make every effort to ensure that we do not allow images to be taken of any children for whom we do not have permission or who are ‘at risk’ or disallowed from having their photographs taken for legal or social reasons. We will take all reasonable measures to ensure the images are used solely for the purposes for which they are intended. However we cannot guarantee this and take no responsibility for the way images are used by other websites or publishers or for any consequences arising from publication. 22 Attitude to learning Why? -To highlight to children that it will be their Attitude to Learning that will enable them to be successful in life, regardless of where they are academically. -A chance for those children who often struggle to receive recognition for commitment and dedication towards their leanring. -A kick up the bum for those who may be coasting… they’ll soon be catching you!

24 Volunteers Sign up to what you can offer…
Signing up doesn’t mean we will take up your services! DBS check will be needed We will try to cater for all offers… however, there are some occasions / lessons where too many adults may be a hindrance. Key areas of need – Parent Readers, Art lesson support, resourcing, improving learning areas in the school.
