3 R13 Launch Robots must not be taller than 12 inches on a launch OR re-launch Active technicians cannot be holding/handling anything on the field

4 Interruptions A team may interrupt a robot. They bring the robot back to base and get a penalty (R14)

5 Strategic Interruptions
A team may not strategically interrupt a robot in such a way that the interruption is what scores them points A Mission is an opportunity for the Robot to earn points (D02) A Robot is the team’s LEGO MINDSTORMS controller and all Equipment… (D04) Equipment is thoroughly defined in R01-R07 External Sensors are limited by R04 and does not include eyes

6 Strategic Interruptions
Two scenarios Robot drives to Observatory  Team picks up robot as soon as the pointer is in orange, robot clearly didn’t stop on it’s own Robot drives to Food Production  Team picks up robot as soon as GREEN, robot clearly doesn’t stop on it’s own Neither scenario would score

7 End of Match Per R14: If a team doesn’t intend to relaunch, they may stop a program from running and leave it in place If the robot is actively transporting a mission model when the team interrupts the robot (and the robot clearly hasn’t stopped on it’s own), the team does not earn an interruption penalty but the transported item is handled per R14 If the robot has clearly stopped, they can still stop the program from running and the transported item is left as-is

8 End of Match Leave the robot in place
Teams cannot interact with the table while the two team members score with the referee

9 Field Set Up East and West Sides of the mat will be taped per the field set up guide

10 Field Set Up Mat is flush against the South wall, centered East to West As flush as possible with the South wall Distance from West wall to the mat and East wall to the mat will be as equal as possible
