Don’t worry this is not something else
“Keep doing what you are already doing, just do it through a new leadership lens (p. 153).”
Take small steps
Read a bedtime story with leadership principles
Have a meal together – let children’s ideas be heard
Have children teach you or siblings through music, art, skits, etc.
Use the language as positive affirmation (Not, “You’re not being proactive.” Instead, “I was so impressed with how you were proactive when you were…”)
Long-term, think about family goals and a mission statement- take children’s input seriously
