2. Isaiah 53:12 “… he poured out
his life unto death,     and was numbered with the
transgressors. For he bore the sin
of many, and made intercession for
the transgressors.”

3. Romans 8:34 “Who then is the One who condemns?
No one. Christ Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life—
is at the right hand of God 
and is also interceding for us.”

4. Hebrews 7: 24-25 24 “Because Jesus
lives forever, He has a permanent priesthood.
25 Therefore He is able
to save completely
those who come to God through Him, because
He always lives
to intercede for them.”

5. Paraclete (“aid called to one’s side”)
The Holy Spirit’s current role on Earth,
as described by Jesus in John 14 & 16.
This word has been translated to mean:
Comforter, Counselor, Advocate, Intercessor, Helper, Companion, & Friend
But… Jesus is also called a Paraclete!

6. 1 John 2: 1-2 “My dear children, I write this to you
so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have [a Paraclete] with
the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice
for our sins, and not only for ours
but also for the sins of the whole world.”

7. Comforter, Counselor, Advocate, Intercessor, Helper, Companion,
Rejoice that you have “Paracletes” in Heaven & Earth, in Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit!

31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked 
to sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

9. Just as we are to strive to become
“Christ-like” in all of our thinking, speech, and actions, so we also are to take up Jesus’ example and intercede in prayer for those around us, both for their needs and for their souls.
