2. Homework Club
We are currently developing a homework/family club in the North West of the City. We hope that this club will offer an opportunity for families in recovery to come together in a safe space.
Families can register their interest directly
Families can be referred in from agencies to the homework club

3. Families in recovery from North West Postcodes/Schools can be referred
The criteria
Families in recovery from North West Postcodes/Schools can be referred
Families with primary aged children will be eligible to attend the homework club

4. Homework club, proposed structure :
pm – Families arrive, snacks and games
– activities and workshops to support building of relationships, strengthening bonds, building resilience
pm – parents – recovery meeting, children – homework with tutor
6.15pm – hot meal together
The Venue for the pilot club will be the Whiteinch Centre on Mondays

5. The Tutors S5 and S6 pupils from local high schools
Recruited and fully trained by Volunteer Tutors Organisation (VTO)
VTO (with parental permission) will liaise with each child’s school to find which academic area requires additional support
There will be a reward scheme for the children to hand in their homework to school
Each child’s progress will be monitored and reviewed
