Complex scientific reasoning of Ecosystem Approach – lack of understanding by many Questioning robustness of Ecosystem Approach and Ecosystem services policies Still prevailing sectoral approach Conservatism of key players Lack of implementation and enforcement of already existing EU policies Other interests and missing political awenue

7 What Still Needs to be Done
Further applied research and specific information for policy makers More work on ecomomic case for an ecosystem services approach Stronger political buy-in Full inclusion of all key players and relevant stakeholders Better integration and seek for win-win solutions with „mainstream policies“
