A HARD-TO-FILL VACANCY (HTFV) refers to an occupation in your organisation that takes longer than 06 months to find a suitably experienced and qualified candidate. Provide up to three reasons why jobs related to a specific occupation could not be filled State number of Vacancies per Province Options to select as reasons for HTFV Lack of relevant qualifications (desired level of study not attained or inappropriate field of study or inappropriate subject specialisation) Lack of relevant experience Poor remuneration Unsuitable job location Unsuitable working hours Equity considerations Slow recruitment processes New or emerging job not defined before

15 Generic or “Top-up” Skills Survey
A SKILLS GAP refers to skills that an employee does not have to carry out job tasks competently. It is also referred to as “top-up” skills. Please consider the 3 most prevalent skills gaps for the 8 Major Groups and then select a reason why the skills gaps exists. Additional comments on the reason for the gap could be added as free text in the right hand column. The definitions of the skills gaps are in the guide and also appear on the sheet
