Why study Biology Education? Science literacy is critical in today’s world and the Department of Biology strives to prepare future teachers to meet this goal. Students may choose one of a number of pathways to earn endorsement in biology at Eastern Washington University. Students may complete a BAE in Biology degree. The BAE program in biology prepares the pre-service teacher to earn endorsement to teach biology from 5-12 grades in the state of Washington. They may also complete a BS in Biology first, and then a general science endorsement.
