Orthopedic Positioning Aid Workflow
Knee with inlays and with coil clip Foot/Ankle device Knee device Knee angle support Knee inlays Two Variety coil halves & clip Components needed

1 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 1: Combine knee and foot/ankle device on MR table

2 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 2: Place knee angle support in knee device (optional)

3 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 3: Combine two coil halves with one clip

4 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 4: Insert two coil halves in knee inlays

5 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 5: Center knee between two posts and adjust length so foot is rested comfortably

6 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 6: Lift knee and slide clipped coils incl. inlays from top to bottom over knee into posts. Use fingers to adjust coil below knee

6 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 6: Patient rests leg. Double check if coil set is fixated tightly around the knee

7 Knee with inlays and with coil clip Step 7: First strap around thigh is usually sufficient  Fast fixation

2 Foot/Ankle Step 1: Combine knee and foot/ankle device on MR table Step 2: Place knee angle support in knee device (optional)

3 Foot/Ankle Step 3: Combine two coil halves with one clip

4 Foot/Ankle Step 4: Place clipped coil halves onto foot/ankle device

5 Foot/Ankle Step 5: Rest foot on coil set

6 Foot/Ankle Step 6: Use first strap to fixate foot

7 Foot/Ankle Step 7: Use second clip to close coil set. If needed use small cushions to close gap

Step 8: Use second strap to tighten coil set onto foot/ankle

1 Shoulder Step 1: Combine two coil halves with one clip

2 Shoulder Step 2: Insert clipped coil halves into shoulder device

3 Shoulder Step 3: Place patient between two coil halves.

4 Shoulder Step 4: Fixate with sandbags for less motion. Watch cable outlay

4 Hand/Wrist/Finger prone with one coil half Step 4: If needed fixate hand with sandbag for less motion

3 Hand/Wrist/Finger supine with elbow positioning aid Step 3: Place patients’ hand between coil halves next to patients body. Close with velcro strap. If needed stabilize with sandbags
