Goal 1: Old Shell Road School of Creative and Performing Arts will improve independent reading practices in 3rd through 5th grade students. Objective: 89% of Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students will demonstrate a proficiency of 85% correct on Accelerated Reader quizzes in Reading by 05/31/2017 as measured by 2% increase from 87% (May, 2016) to 89% (May, 2017).

Goal 2: Engage and empower the learner through high quality K-12 aligned College and Career Ready Standards, instruction, and assessment for all core content areas. Objective 1: A 2% increase (56%) of Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students will demonstrate a proficiency on the ACT Aspire in Reading by 06/01/2017 as measured by Star Reading Diagnostic Screenings and the Spring 2017 ACT Aspire Reading Assessment.

Goal 2: Engage and empower the learner through high quality K-12 aligned College and Career Ready Standards, instruction, and assessment for all core content areas. Objective 2: A 2% increase (76%) of Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students will demonstrate a proficiency on the ACT Aspire in Mathematics by 06/01/2017 as measured by Star Math Diagnostic Screenings and the Spring 2017 ACT Aspire Math Assessment.

Goal 2: Engage and empower the learner through high quality K-12 aligned College and Career Ready Standards, instruction, and assessment for all core content areas. Objective 3: 57% of English Learners students will demonstrate a proficiency on the Adequate Progress in Language Acquisition in English Language Arts by 06/01/2017 as measured by the ACCESS for ELL English Language Proficiency Test and STAR Reading Diagnostic screenings. ELL students will take the ACCESS test in the spring of 2017.

Objective 4: 80% of Kindergarten, First and Second grade students will demonstrate a proficiency on grade level benchmarks in Reading by 06/01/2017 as measured by the DIBELS Reading Assessment.

Objective 5: A 2% decrease (18%)of Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students will demonstrate a behavior scoring in the lower quartile in Mathematics by 06/01/2017 as measured by STAR Math Diagnostic Screenings and the Spring 2017 ACT Aspire Math Assessment.

Objective 7: A 2% increase (57%) of Fourth and Fifth grade students will demonstrate a proficiency on the ACT Aspire in Science by 06/1/2017 as measured by Science End of Quarter tests and the Spring 2017 ACT Aspire Science Assessment.

Objective 1: Collaborate to increase student engagement by 06/01/2017 as measured by the Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool, walkthroughs, PLCIAs, lesson plans, and professional development. Eleot tool training and practice observations during 1st quarter School-wide focus/indicator for Educate Alabama Professional Learning Plan Student engagement professional development training - 2nd semester

Goal 3: Prepare and support teachers to graduate College and Career Ready students. Objective 2: Collaborate to implement the Talents Unlimited Program to increase critical and creative thinking skills by 06/01/2017 as measured by the Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool, walkthroughs, lesson plans, and professional development. 5 new teachers will attend Talents Unlimited initial training - Oct 18 & Nov 8, 2016 Talents Unlimited refresher training and grade level collaboration Mrs. Martin (certified Talents trainer) Talents Unlimited lessons with students/parents on Parenting Day- October 17, 2016

Objective 3: Collaborate to implement Dyslexia-specific intervention by 06/01/2017 as measured by walk-throughs, intervention lesson plans, PST minutes, and professional development. PST/Dyslexia awareness training completed for 1st-5th grade in 1st quarter Kindergarten training & screening scheduled for 3rd quarter Dyslexia-specific intervention training with Sonday System completed in 1st quarter 10 teachers attended training on October 7, 2016 Dyslexia-specific intervention began October 11, 2016 1st grade: 1 student 2nd grade: 6 students 3rd grade: 6 students 4th grade: 2 students 5th grade: 1 student School total: 16 students qualified
