XML Encryption is a requirement to secure specific information and to allow authorized persons access to specific information and prevent access to that specific information from unauthorized entities..

It shall be easy to write programs, which process XML documents.
XML documents shall be easy to create.
It is possible to encrypt one element, several elements, or a complete document
