INTRODUCTION: Last time we focuses on the Person of Christ … Today we will focus on the Work of Christ. HIS WORK falls into three categories: 1--P________________ 2--P________________ 3--K________________ Today we will focus on His P_______________ and K______________ Work I. Jesus is the P________________ Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you-- even Jesus. 21 He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets 22 For Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. 23 Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people.’ The Point -- Acts applies the prophetic words of M_____________, regarding a coming p____________ like Moses, to J_________! His Prophetic ministry has two parts: 1. His F_________-telling ministry: P______________ 2. His F_________telling ministry: P______________

2 A. His P__________________ Ministry 1- Concerned the G_____________
Luke 4:16 ...on the Sabbath day he [Jesus] went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. 17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” 20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, 21 and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” 2- Concerns the “kingdom of h____________” and “kingdom of G_______” Matthew 4:17 states: From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” Therefore, He preached the good news (gospel) of the coming Kingdom of God (M________________ kingdom) was i_________________. Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. “His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace” Eph 2:15 3- Destruction of J_______________________ predicted Luke 21:5 Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, 6 "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.” 4- The T____________ and S__________ C____________ predicted As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, 'and will deceive many You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. II. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." Matthew 2:1 ...Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” 2- Jesus p______________ kingdom After the 40 day temptation of Christ Matthew 4:17 states: From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” So, where is the k______________?
