2. The Prophet Muhammad’s Ascension 1533, Cairo Coll.
The prophet sits atop Buraq, his face is veiled and his hands grasping the reins. Buraq has a speckled body with white spots and a human head topped with gold and blue crown. Fierfy flames surround the prophet, angels fly around him bearing a gold covered dish, a flaming platter, and a censer. Their features appear corroded. The texts say that not a single person sat astride Buraq except Muhammad. The other text talks about the speed of Buraq.
