We are learning!
In reading, we read a variety of books. We’ve enjoyed partner reading!
Our first MYSTERY READER surprised us with a story on Friday! Thank you Allison Heger for taking time out of your day to read us a story.
We studied the letters Kk & Dd at the beginning and end of words. We also practiced the sight words : see, look, funny, help & make.
In math, we worked on identifying and creating sets with the same number of objects and making sets that have one more.
Some notes came home about some fun days we have coming up in February: Our 100th day party, Books and Breakfast and our Valentine party! Please return your RSVP for Books and Breakfast!
Don’t forget to sign up for conferences. Our new conference make-up day is on Thursday, February 21st from 3:45-7:15. If you have trouble signing up online, call the office and Peggy can sign you up.

Homework
Practice our sight words. Enourage your child to read them, write them, find they in books, etc. Make it fun.
Read the leveled readers within 2 days of being sent home and return with signed slip. Keep the book!
Practice counting objects and recognizing numbers to 30 and also counting backwards from 20.
