2 Forensic etymology Forensic is a Latin word for forensic the history of this word comes from the roman times. This word meant presenting the case of a group of public individuals (plead a cause) In the modern society the word is related to legal or related to court

3 HISTORY OF FORENSIC SCIENCE
The first written account of using medicine and entomology to solve criminal cases the case of a person murdered with a sickle was solved by an investigator who instructed everyone to bring his sickle to one location. (He realized it was a sickle by testing various blades on an animal carcass and comparing the wound.) In 16th-century Europe, medical practitioners in army and university settings began to gather information.

Forensic science is the application of science to criminal and civil laws mainly on the criminal side. Forensic scientists collect, preserve and analyze scientific evidence during the course of an investigation.

Forensic science is very diverse, it touches all aspects of our lives. Fingerprints: this was the first fingerprints taken in finger prints from a crime scene are important because they are easily deposited on suitable surfaces like glass or metal. DNA profiling: a technique to identify people by there characteristics Body identification: the application of forensic science to identify parts of a body.

Forensic anthropology: Physical study of humans past, present of biological nature. Forensic firearm Examination: linking weapons and bullets to persons using the weapon to kill or hurt. Forensic dentistry: the dentist Knowledge to match dental records of the deceased person.

Forensic toxicology: Tests and techniques that determine crimes committed, toxicology is chemical science that investigates the effects of harmful chemicals. Forensic audio: the study of sound in a crime scene. To aid medical or legal investigation of death, poisoning and drug use.

Computer forensic: match evidence found in computers and digital storage media and data recovery. Vehicular accident reconstruction: the scientific process of investigating, analyzing and drawing conclusions about the causes and events during a vehicle collision
