2 Parts of speech- Focus on nouns
Noun- names a person, place, or thing Subject- who or what the sentence is about Object- a noun that completes the verb’s meaning. There are two kinds of objects: direct objects and indirect object.

3 Practice together Noun Search Underline the nouns. Here’s some help: In each sentence, there will be three or four nouns and they will always be in alphabetical order. 1. The complete subject of a sentence tells who or what the sentence is about. Example: The huge, green, slimy, alien from Mars waved to us. The simple subject also tells who or what the sentence is about, but it doesn’t have all of the descriptive words. The simple subject is usually just a single noun.
